Recently, Tahoe Quarterly Magazine named the Stanford Alpine Chalet one of the top Great Ski Lodges. Located in a quiet neighborhood beneath the pines, the Chalet offers individual accommodations and exclusive use for groups. Chalet guests spend their days out in the fresh mountain air, then soak tired muscles in the hot tub or relax in the great room with its panoramic mountain views and crackling fire. Stanford Alumni Association members receive a $15 discount, but University affiliation is not required to stay at the Chalet.
The Chalet offers 14 warm and cozy mountain style rooms with private baths and majestic views. Most rooms are family-friendly with a queen bed and a set of bunkbeds. Chalet amenities include delicious, hearty cooked-to-order meals, ski shuttle service, après ski social hour and use of the year-round outdoor hot tub.
At the Chalet enjoy the hot tub, seasonal pool, sand volleyball, basketball, horseshoes or just plain rest and relaxation.World-class skiing at Alpine Meadows is just a Marg ride away while hiking, biking, fishing, horseback riding, tennis, boating, rafting, shopping, gaming and shows are all available within a few miles.
